A Different Kind of Mother’s Day: Our cultural ideal about Mother’s Day is that it’s a time to let our mothers know how much we love and appreciate them. But for those of us whose mothers have died, Mother’s Day can be a painful annual reminder of our loss, and a time when we feel isolated from others. Wish You Were Here is a group designed to help you reclaim your experience of your mother this Mother’s Day. Come together with others who want to re-imagine this day as an opportunity to acknowledge and honor their mothers who are no longer living.
